Why replace both springs if only one broke?
Springs wear at the same rate. When one snaps, the other is usually close behind. Replacing them as a pair keeps the door balanced and saves you a second service call and a second bill.
Can I open the door manually if the spring is broken?
We don't recommend it. Without spring tension the door is dead weight and can drop fast. Leave it closed and call us.
Do you charge a service fee if I decline the repair?
Ask when you call. Any fee that applies to your call is explained on the phone before anyone is scheduled, so you will never learn about it for the first time on the invoice.
